چکیده
Optimal hydrocarbon recovery depends strongly on predicting the reservoir quality and drive mechanism, this could be achieved by petrophysical analysis. This research evaluated properties of sands in an Oil producing Field, onshore Niger delta, Nigeria using techniques. Results from Petrophysical evaluation, showed that average porosity values reservoirs ranged between 0.15 0.24 while water saturation for three 19% to 44%. Reservoir D_3000 has largest accumulation about 952 MMSTB D_1000 gave least 727MMSTB. The environment deposition was interpreted gamma-ray log motif. shows a blocky gamma ray motif suggests steady energy, which can likely channel deposits. D_2000 obvious funnel shape it coarsening upward attribute, as shore face environment. is deepest thickest sands, displayed bar deposits sands. study reveals Channel Sands, Bars Shore are good sites exploration production hydrocarbon.

Evaluation of Geopressure Regime in an Onshore Niger Delta Field of Nigeria
Geopressure evaluation or prediction is an important exercise that must be carefully estimated when planning a drilling campaign. Formations of high pressure regime can be experienced in several areas within the bore hole depths. Being unaware of these areas that experience high pressure regime can create many uncontrolled events such as blow outs that may lead to human and material loss within...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
an investigation into iranian teachers consistency and bias in evaluation of students writings
while performance-based language assessment has led to an increased authenticity and content validity in the practice of writing assessment, the reliability of ratings has become a major issue. research findings have shown different reactions by native english speaker (nes) and non-native english speaker (nns) teachers to students’ writings. the focus of this study is on investigating whether i...
Oil doom and AIDS boom in the Niger Delta Region of Nigeria.
CONTEXT There has been a steady rise in Nigeria's HIV/AIDS burden since the first sero-prevalence survey in 1991. Nigeria's economy is mainly dependent on oil that comes from the Niger Delta Region. The majority of the people of the Niger delta region depend on fishing and farming for livelihood. Years of oil exploration activities with frequent oil spillages have led to severe environmental de...
متن کاملPolycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in sediments and soils from oil exploration areas of the Niger Delta, Nigeria.
The distribution of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediments from rivers and canals adjoining some oil exploration sites in the Niger Delta and surface soils from host communities were examined. The concentrations of 28 target PAHs ranged from 65 to 331 ng/g (average: 168 ng/g) and from 24 to 120 ng/g (average: 80 ng/g) in the sediment and soil samples, respectively. Two-ring PAHs w...
